Elevating Morning Song Orchard & Nursery’s Online Presence

A good website does more than just look nice—it helps customers find what they need, understand a business’s story, and have an easy, enjoyable experience. That’s exactly what I set out to achieve with the website rebuild for Morning Song Orchard & Nursery, a family- and veteran-owned business in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

The Challenge

Before we started, the nursery’s website was completely DIY. While it had the basics in place, it wasn’t as user-friendly or polished as it could be.

The first thing I noticed when I hopped on to evaluate the situation was that there was no above-the-fold call-to-action. Their bounce rate was in the mid 90% range, and I believed that the first screen contributed greatly to that statistic.

Products were a little tricky to navigate, the design didn’t fully reflect the brand’s personality, and customers weren’t getting the best possible experience. Morning Song’s owners knew they needed an upgrade but didn’t have the time or expertise to make it happen.

Thankfully, when we crossed paths at a Farmsteading Expo, I mentioned my freelance work. They took a card, booked a call, and I got to work almost immediately!

The Solution

I wanted to focus on making the website more organized so customers could navigate to their desired products easier and more inviting from an aesthetic viewpoint. To achieve the first goal, we had to overhaul the layout to accommodate numerous new pages. Here’s what we improved.

What We Improved

Better Navigation & Product Categories – With a growing selection of teas, mushrooms, spices, tinctures, and more, we set up clear categories so customers can quickly find what they’re looking for.

A Fresh, Responsive Design – The new site is clean, professional, and works seamlessly on any device, from desktops to smartphones.

Stronger Brand Story & Connection – The "About Us" page got a refresh, helping customers connect with the people behind the business and their passion for herbal wellness.

Helpful FAQs & Educational Content – A new FAQ section tackles common questions about their products, plus there’s extra info to help customers understand the benefits of herbal teas and natural remedies.

The Results

With a more intuitive layout and engaging content, Morning Song Orchard & Nursery now has a website that truly works for their business and their customers. Their bounce rate is dropping. Orders are rolling in. The owners are thrilled with the transformation, and their feedback says it all:

"Worth every penny!"

At the end of the day, a well-designed website isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about creating a smooth, enjoyable experience that makes customers want to come back. This project was all about bringing that vision to life!
